Challenges & solutions

  1. 01

    Scale CI for concurrent builds

    ciscalability
    Problem

Static Jenkins agents became a bottleneck.

    Solution

Kubernetes-based ephemeral build agents created per build and destroyed afterwards.

  2. 02

    Build images without privileged Docker-in-Docker

    security
    Problem

Mounting the Docker socket in the cluster is a security risk.

    Solution

Kaniko builds and pushes images from inside unprivileged pods.

Deep dive

☸️ Cloud-Native DevOps Platform

A production-oriented Kubernetes platform for containerised workloads, built from the ground up.

✨ What it does

  • Designed a production-oriented Kubernetes platform for containerised workloads
  • Implemented CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Kubernetes-based ephemeral build agents
  • Automated container image builds using Kaniko (no Docker daemon in the cluster)
  • Managed deployments and upgrades using Helm and GitOps practices with ArgoCD
  • Implemented observability with Prometheus and Grafana

🔄 Pipeline

git push → Jenkins (ephemeral pod agent)
→ Kaniko build & push image
→ bump Helm values in Git
         → ArgoCD syncs cluster
→ Prometheus scrapes · Grafana dashboards
